Today’s society consumes a significant amount of energy for heating (both homes and offices), transportation, and electricity production.
And each day, the numbers are going up – due to a rising standard of living, the energy demand is continually increasing.
Realistically speaking, the demand for energy is not something we as individuals can have an effect on. However, what we can change is what sources are used to produce such energy. The most immense amount of energy is derived from conventional sources such as petroleum and gasoline.
Here Are Some Examples of Renewable Energy Sources:
Wind energy – the kinetic energy produced by the power of the wind.
Hydroelectric power – projects that use water to generate electricity.
Solar energy – converts solar radiation into heat.
Biomass – converts solar energy into a series of processes.
Renewable energy sources (RES) are renewed by the cycle of nature and are practically inexhaustible. If you think about it, the sun, rivers, wind, and organic materials can never be exhausted.
These are non-renewable sources of energy that will, at some point, be exhausted and are currently creating a series of environmental problems. The most serious of these issues is the greenhouse effect.
